Plasma power consumption?

I've noticed that "lower power consumption" seems to be a common line in
many Plasma manufacturers marketing brochers. Just out of interest, how
much electricity does a Plasma use, are we talking air-conditioner in Summer
range?

Also, anyone seen JVC's new SD or HD Plasma's yet? Were they as good as the
current Pioneer's? What price?
