I have just had foxtel digital installed and I can pick up the signal nice and clear in my back lounge room...the stu is in my front lounge room, so I have to keep going through the house to change channels. I have heard about remote extenders and senders etc. but don`t know anything at all about them. Is it possible to control the stu from another room? That would be wonderful!

JB have remote extenders, works like the AV sender but it's for the remote.
You can also get AV senders with built-in remote extenders. Dickies and
Tandy have them.

set up an elaborate mirror system in your house to rebound the remote control signals

There are issues with Foxtel Digital and the GigaAir 2020 Av sender. The picture and sound is transmitted A OK but I can't get the IR extender to change the Foxtel channels. There was no problem with my old Foxtel but apparently the new Foxtel Digital remote operates at a much higher frequency or something so is not compatible. This could be the same with other AV sender/receivers as well.

Would this also apply with the standalone remote extender units or are they alright?
