Would it be possible to have the current character limit of 1,000 extended or removed?

I (along with others I'm sure) find it painful having to trim down or split responses.

Also, just to quash any rumours, what is the actual mailbox limit for the average PM box before it starts rejecting entries?

The saved message limit is 70.

I happened to be from the old school when comes to trimming quoted message.:) So it would not be easy to convince me to increase the 1000 charactors limit. I think if the message is something large, one should consider to use email instead of private message.;)

Unfortunately, as I'm a fast typer, it results in my Private Messages being about 30% bullcrap. Until I can decypher what is decent and what isn't, I'm having trouble keeping below 1,000 ;)

id say closer to 90% in most cases and 30% is an exaduration.
