I live in Melbourne and last Sunday night, one of the STUs at home started playing up. I suspect it was because of the really bad
weather. Did anyone else experience this? All the lights on my STU have been blinking ever since and I seriously do not know
what's wrong. Anyway, the tech guy is coming by tomorrow so I hopefully this will get sorted out.

Have you pulled the power plug from the rear for 1-5 mins and put it back
in, and allow it to re-initialise.

Hi see my reply to Digital Signal problems, sounds same issue as ours but I
don't think its to do with the weather but multiple outlets-but I'm not an
electronic engineer!!

Well it sounds like it could be related to the bad weather. Its quite amazing, Foxtel can invest millions in their 'advertising' campaigns urging people to upgrade now to the world of digital and yet along comes a storm and wham out goes the service. Of course you can reset the STU and have no fear if you happen to be recording either, cause it will repeat. Repeat... and repeat. The signal strength of the stu's has dropped a lot. I used to have 100%. Now it hovers around 83/67 respectively. Still, maybe the technician can help fix the problem. Might replace the cable, stu (some units work better than others), etc.

Yes, I did. I even left it to 're-initialize' for a few hours and nothing still worked. When the technician came out on Friday, he
ended replacing the STU so it must have been a faulty unit.
