Are HD STBs getting any cheaper?

Are the prices coming down on these things, or holding up with the prices of SD coming down? Is there a paticular model anyone would recommend? Can you get an SD box that is upgradeable?

The good quality Set Top Box is holding it's price at the moment, they have dropped from about $795 to $695 in about 12 mths
