Slightly off topic but ill try my luck :)
I have a Sony 19 inch computer monitor (G420) that is becoming increasingly
unwatchable due to excessive brightness. Yes watch.. i feed it with a tv
tuner card.
Currently i have have had to dial down brightness down to 0 and max out the
contrast to make it even vaguely acceptable. Also have the RGB individual
brightness controls set very low with the green component right down to 0
also.
It just seems to me that the brightness is being overdriven and its getting
worse. Is this a sign that its dying or would it be easy to tweak some
controls internally ? Granted i dont want to get electrocuted and its out of
warranty by about 3 months.
Are there people who will come on site for such small jobs and not charge
the earth ? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
