Place them next to a power point?

Tis a valid and oft raised point from Newsy which I believe you missed.....
If you want speakers to be wireless and you plan to put them near a power
point then the speakers will need to have wires to power them....no longer
wireless.
Totally wireless speakers (ie battery powered and RF or IR or MW signal
transfer) if they exist surely would'nt be able to handle too much
power/volume whatever, surely..?? I know how much of a pain it was changing
batteries in PC speakers that were always on low voltage.
Now my point would be that if you simply wish not to have wires running
along the floor from amp to speaker, then consider installing wall plates
for the speakers behing your amp, run the speaker wires through the wall
cavity (or roof space) to wall plates behind your speakers and just use
small cables to connect from the wall plate to the speakers (and from amp to
first wall plate)
Unless someone has/will design a system that allows the audio to travel
through your power cables (could be done if they are looking at it for
broadband) thne I'd say your best option would be speaker wall plates - then
you can use the speaker of your choice (and not be limited in the small
offerings of "wireles speakers")

Ever thought of trying Google?
Kenwood looks OK if you're happy with low volume FM quality...

As always....

Exactly... and we're taking for HT use, so why would anyone want low quality
sound as rear in as 5.1 system....PLUS from all the units I have ever seen
you need to use something like 8x C (or even D Cell) batteries per speaker
to power them......or the supplied AC adaptors......?! Multiple-battery
chargers anyone...??
If the above quality is the case, then why not stick to the old Dolby Pro
Logic where the rears were of a lesser importance the the fronts.
For mine, I'd like to stick with the discrete and equally powered chanels in
Dolby Digital to get the full surround effect - I'd rather have my 240V AC
Amplifier provide the power to the speakers over a couple of 12V battery
banks any day.

I often wish it was possible now as I don't need the stress that cables give
me.
I often dream of the wireless speaker with NUCLEAR batteries.........

I seriously doubt you would get decent sound quality from a wireless speaker.
I got an electrician to run the speaker cables up/down the walls and across the
ceiling.
