Actually, to interpret any answers you first need to understand that
your question is inappropriate. It should really be:
"Do CRT HD Ready TVs accept this input resolution?"

Many accept it, but do they properly display it? I have heard TVs scale
it to 1080i for display.

Yes so have I. I'm convinced the best way to buy one of these HD tv's is to
wait until HD is here well and truly and then have a long hard look at all
of them and take the one that suits you best. Could be an expensive exercise
in rushing in ....remember the old saying...
