Does anyone know if the Creative Muvo 4GB with part number, 06PD052300008
will let me remove the Hitachi microdrive to use in my digital camera?

Yes. Same part number as mine, and although I haven't actually removed
the drive it's certainly one of the models which others have had success
with.
Newer models specifically state on the back of the box that the drive
is not CF and will not work in other devices - if you have the box that's
the easiest way to tell.
Scott.

Actually, I hear that not all the non workable drives have that warning on
them! I am glad that this one works though. Where did you find out that it
works?

You have to open the unit and look on the actual drive. 43b and lower are
ok. If it says 44c forget it. Seems they don't last long in cameras anyway
due to different voltages.
Take a look here and search for Muvo2.

I can find the thread that says the 4GB Microdrive dies because of voltage
differences. This is the first I've heard of it and I've been looking for
quite a while. Can you give me the exact link?
Thanks
