Do you mean that e-mail is working on the first computer, but not the second? Are you using the same e-mail program on both computers? Are both computers trying to access the same e-mail address? Are you having trouble sending, receiving, or both? Have you copied the e-mail settings from one computer to the other?

On the second computer itr wont send or recieve
No i havnt copied the settings from one computer to the other as the client computer is my old computer and the server side is the new one with everything loaded new in the last few days.

Does this mean that you have not copied the settings for "incoming e-mail server" and "outgoing e-mail server" from the old computer's e-mail program to the new computer? If this is the case, tell me which e-mail program you are using, and I will tell you where to look for these settings.

By the way, is this picture correct?

hi,

you could also just use the web service, I find it good enough for me.

hi alex, nope your pic is wrong.
email works on the new comp and not the old one
it has something to do with the cable company and the computer name i think.
I changed the name on the new comp to the one i needed to get the internet working and email.

OK, does this picture look right, then?

You are also saying that browsing the internet works OK from both computers?

Did the cable company tell you to use a particular name for the computer itself? What type of internet connection sharing are you using? Built in the Windows? If so, which version (WinXP, Win2000, WinME, Win98SE)?

If the above pic is correct, then you will need some sort of proxy software to allow forwarding and receiving of mail on the "server" to the "client" (the one not connected directly to net).
