Dear folks,

I just got a copy of "Minority Report"(R4). All who has this can see on the back side of the case that Disk 1 of "Minority Report"(R4) contains subtitles in 15 languages, including Polish. However, opening "subtitles" in the "main-menu" there only 7 subtitles appear: there is no choice for Polish subtitle. Does anybody know whats the problem? Is there any "secret" comand for seeing it?

Chances are they just haven't got everything listed in the menu.
Just start the movie playing and press the 'subtitle' button on your DVD remote control until you get to the Polish subtitle track.

Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunatelly this disk doesn't allow to switch subtitles and audio directly from the 'subtitle' button on remote control. It doesn't work at all. "Impossible" mark appears on the screen....
Is that a technical bug of my DVD player (Pioneer DV-533)?
Does anybody succeed in viewing the Polish subtitle?

erk1971 - if you haven't worked it out already, go to the Subtitles menu again.

Then next to the Main Menu selection at the bottom of the screen there is a [>] symbol (Its on the Right Hand Side of "Main Menu"). Select that, and then you'll get another screen of subtitles. Polish is halfway down the screen.

Figured it would be something like that.

They sure love hiding those [>] symbols don't they?!! LOL

lol, Pity my useless reply was no help :D
But that's not a problem with your player - some discs lock out the changing of audio/subtitles during playback. It's dumb, but its the way its done for some reason...

Going slightly off topic here, but just wanted to vent my furious anger and frustration at discs that lock out user-options, such as fast forward, rewind, menu, so you're forced to sit there and watch their crud, in most cases being advertisements for the studio of the picture.

Hey Mr Mac!!

I'm not sure if it's available with all (hardware) mods, but I was very fortunate to be able to have all that user ops stuff removed, so that I can go straight to the dvd menu after 1st putting in the disc.

It was another major reason I spent the cash on the mod, apart from the obvious reasons.

Depending on your player, and the cost involved, u might wanna see if there's a user op mod available, I don't think I could go thru' all that waiting just to play the movie ever again!!
