There are some places out theere that offer free shipping, I find http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/cgi-bin/dvdhtml2 quite useful for finding cheap prices (you can say your from Australia and it'll add Australian shipping rates for distributers).

Thanks for that. Looks like a useful site. Not as expense buying R1 dvds as I originally thought.

Anyone know what limit or value of dvd's you can bring in and not have to pay any duty to Australia?

There are quite a few sites out there to help you find cheap prices http://www.dvdpricecompare.com/ to name another, and they often have coupon codes there for you. This makes them quite useful indeed, one thing to remember though is their listings can be out-dated or just plain incorrect so always check the web sites for the sellers to verify the price (esp on shipping).

Not as dodgy or as random as ebay or sold dot com dot AUs (mm, gold... heh gold DVDs maybe?) And good luck finding what you want. :)

You will find that the $1.99 shipping charge is for adult titles only and it has been like that for a while now.

The normal dvd's are a higher shipping rate :D

I was refering to any sales tax that Customs may want to charge me when I pick it up from Australia post. Are there any costs that I could be hit with??

As far as i know there are no import tax charges unless the order is over $250.00.
