I wouldnt invest in a new video card just yet, i'd wait until Half Life2 and STALKER are out, then weigh up your vid card options.

Yeah, Stalker is a game I've hanging out for ever for close on a year ever since I heard the premise of the FPS/role playing theme. Then I saw the screenshots and rolling demo :eek:.

I'd advise everyone to steer clear of the Hardly Normal deal of doom 3, figurine and geforce mx4000 video card for $149. Therte's a good reason why the cost of the video card works out to $50. It might have 128mb of ram, but it runs worse than a mx440 with 64mb onboard (well, according to all the comapison tests I've read.

If you want a cheap card to play doom 3, spend an extra $25-$50 ands pick up the cheapest option of an radeon 9200 or geforce fx5200, both with the 128mb
