View Full Version : Surround radio test files inc 6.1 DTS!
Gadgets

From a page link posted earlier, here's some surround wav files, just
extract the zips and burn wav files to CD as an audio CD - DTS capable amp
required for some, others are DD. Some 6.1 content there and the first one,
banff demo is a bit of a laugh! The surround is overdone to promo its
potential for radio broadcasts, but they've put a bit of time into the mix
and it's worth a listen if you've got some downloading bandwidth to abuse...
enjoy!

Why is it that all I get is similar to white noise?

You can't play them as wav files, they are compressed with either DD or DTS
codecs, so you need to have an amp to decode it and your amp should be
set/auto detect to DD/DTS format as appropriate. Your CD/DVD player will
also need a digital output to your amp...
