XMS 250 problem

Bought this unit for xmas as a gift.

The picture is jittery on startup.
After a while the unit starts to hum quite audibly.

It was bought from Strathfield Car Radio.

Has anyone else had any experiences with this product?

gwiz, don't hesitate, take it back and get one that works! I had to xchange an XMS750 because of lip-syncing problems and the new unit works a treat. I reacon these cheap units are great, but there are a few dodgy ones that leave the factory. SCR seem to understand this.
