Hmm - when broadcast originally there wasn't a 16:9 digital broadcast outlet
in the UK for Pride and Prejudice ISTR. The show was shot on Super 16 but
shown in 14:9 or 15:9 letterbox within a 4:3 frame (I believe it was
telecined in this ratio and edited in the 4:3 domain?) When repeated a few
years later, when the BBC was 16:9 broadcast capable, the programme was
letterboxed within a 4:3 frame still.

HOWEVER - a more recent DVD release was made where the film source was
remastered to 16:9 video and prettifyed for DVD. However I suspect that
this may not be the form that the episodic show is available in?
