XMS-888 - DVD Aspect Ratio

Hi,

I have an XMS-888 with firmware version 1.2 and I just got a DVD burner and my movies play perfect on my computer, but when I try play them on the XMS-888 they automatically play the comentray audio instead of the movies normal audio. Is there any way to make it play the normal one all the time?

Also the resolution is out. Perfect on the computer, but on the tv its strected. Is there any way I can shrink the height of the movie thats playing? any way to keep that on all the time? Thanks everyone.

How are you creating your DVD's, which software programs for authoring, burning etc? Need more info to be able to give you any worthwhile advice.

Sorry, forgot to mention that this also happens with the original DVD's, so I don't think it would be anything to do with the way I burnt it right? It will stretch the 16:9 DVD to 4:3. BTW I use DVD Shrink.

Have you changed the TV type in the setup menu?

Yes I have tried all of them, but it still won't show it correctly. Am I the only one with this problem?

When will Firmware V1.3 be coming out? Or is it cancelled or something?

press the little blue button on the remote that has r/l on it. That will switch from directors commentory to the proper soundtrack
