Closing ceremony HD or 16:9?

Actually I just read on widescreentv.info that the Closing Ceremony is
576p 16:9 on channel 70.

I wonder if that'll be live AND replay.

The HD feed is indeed 16:9 as supplied to 7 from
the AOB.

The pictures are different on the SD 4:3 feed and
it is NOT a downconversion from HD.

Yep - though it did look like some of the pictures on the SD (but not all)
were sourced from HD cameras.

AIUI the Athletics coverage in the stadium was shot using HD cameras - with
SD and HD mixes separately sourced from the same sources.

I wonder if they also co-ordinated some of the coverage for the closing
ceremony - to reduce the number of cameras required to produce both events?
