Hey guys,
Ordered my z330 from eyo on wednesday, turns up here in brisbane by midday thursday. GOTTA be happy with that! Plugged it in and after my initial disappointment with an xms 989 (#@$@ing osd), I have to admit - this is a great player. The only thing that it's suffered from is when the file is encoded on xvid 1.0 onwards. There was some severe stuttering during high motion scenes, but doesn't matter - i can just re-encode those to divx.
The only odd thing was, when it first loaded up, I checked the firmware number, and it said 1.1. Happy about this, thinking that they've upgraded to the new firmware in the factory - however when i went to play a vid file, the osd came on. All the symptons of version 1.0 firmware were there!
I then downloaded the firmware upgrade and applied it, and the firmware number was the same - but this time osd was gone, subtitles work etc.
Not really a complaint, but just a tad strange!
