Hey guys,
The long-awaited sequel to the Tribes series, Tribes:Vengeance, has finally opened the doors to open beta. For those of you who have never heard of Tribes, it was one of the first online-only games of its kind since it was introduced to the gaming world 6 years ago - many of the multiplayer features we take for granted today, such as 32+ player support, troop transport vehicles and several different player classes were all a result of this evolutionary game. Tribes was also unique in that it had an unprecedented amount of freedom with the inclusion of jetpacks and a weird but wonderful technique known as skiing, making it a far more diverse and complex game than other first-person shooters out there.
Not only was Tribes a pioneer in the online gaming industry, but it was, and still is extremely addictive and bundles of fun to play. Unfortunately, Tribes had a very steep learning curve, which made it very difficult for those starting out. This resulted in many players being turned away from the game as a result of their inexperience, in consequence causing the game to stay out of the spotlight and fade into obscurity. The new Tribes game now changes all that, so it is easier for the new players to step in, and challenging for the veterans on the higher spectrum of the game.
Try this game out, you won't regret it! :)
