have got a panasonic 104a HD STB and it says signal strength ranges
between 80-90% is that normal? picture looks good and have had excellent
reception using analog for the past 6-8 years i think.
also i have it set to display all pictures in 576p any pros and cons on
this?

Thats bordering on being pretty impressive, if the metering is to be
trusted.

thanks. i'm in brisbane, bayside if that makes any difference as i have
not heard of anyone else's experiences from this area before. thought
i'd check to see what others opinions were.

Greetings. I setup my first htpc last night equipped with hdtv tuner and
got similar to what you describe. The signal strength was reported around
85%+ on nearly every channel change. I'm in Tingalpa so similar area and
using the standard tv antenna I was using for analogue.
I have a few questions that I hope this NG can help me with too :-)
