Zensonic Z330 and subtitles on AVI

Hi,

While the firmware 1.1 relaease notes for the Z330 seem to say that it will handle subtitles for .avi in .srt and other formats, I've had some problems.

I've followed the instructions using what looks to me like a standard .srt file. One-line subs are OK, but for any subtitle of two lines, I only get one line displayed. This can be very frustrating when watching a foreign language film.

Has anyone fared better than this? Any clues?

Hmm.. must admit I haven't had that problem. Is it just one subtitle file or on multiple ones?

I've actually started re-encoding all my files using textsub to burn the subtitles in instead of using the player based ones... the font used by the z330 irritated me being straight white with no black edging or shadows. If the background is white - you can't read them!!

Was your player shipped with version 1.1?
If it was, the version 1.1 on the Zensonic web site is newer. (strange I know)
You might want to try it.
2 line .srt and others is fine, although they do cut off for long subs.
How long are the lines?
