Wallpaper Competition

Do we have any photoshoppers here? fan art, wallpapers, all of that... coz on another fourm i visit, there's a bunch of us, and we have a weekly sig comp, and a new thing we've just started - a weekly wallpaper comp. Winner gets to chose the theme of the next comp - it's fun. If there's enough, maybe we could do that here? if not...just ignore me :rolleyes:

It sounds like a good idea Jellybean! I use Photoshop quite a lot. Why don't you send a pm to nsu or post a thread on the site suggestion maybe he'll get it up and running. :)

I use photoshop quite a bit. Don't get a lot of time to muck around with it outside of work though. Mostly photo retouching in my spare time.

I'm not brilliant, but i did a bit of work for my school and band website last year.

What sort of themes are they?
Regarding the actual pictures or images?
Or themes to exploit different photoshop techniques??

well, the other forum is a Buffy forum, so it's usually themed around that, but here we could have a quote, and make a sig around, or an image, or something like that. a particular person, or song lyrics. possibilities are virtually endless.

just a question - say for example I decide the theme for the first comp, there's a whole bunch of great sigs. Do we want to vote for the winner, or would I choose the winner because it's my comp? It doesn't matter either way to me. Then the winner would chose the theme for the next comp, but I was just wondering, before I put it in as a suggestion, how do you guys wanna decide the winner?

That's a great idea JenniV. :) It seems to be the way all the other "game" threads are run around here. That means that jellybean chooses the first "theme" and judges that then the winner jellybean chooses thinks up the next "theme" and judges and so on ... just like the Daily Caption Game, et al. :cool:

jellybean because this thread is still in this section and none of the moderators have moved it or posted a message saying you've done something "not quite right" I think it is ok to keep this one going. If there is a problem one of the moderators will post a message.
It is good to keep it going in this section of the Forum because it keeps all the "competition" threads together.

Just remember that if pictures are posted in this thread, they should be kept at a reasonable size and that they don't have offensive content.

I'm not the creater of the thread but I think that is a good idea for a name change that way people know what we are talking about before they start reading through the posts. How about it jellybean? :confused:
