I am looking at buying a Pioneer VSX-D512 receiver, and the ohms listed are
8 ohms....I'm also looking at a set of Wintel speakers...but they are listed
as having 6 ohms..!
Does that mean they are not compatible ?

no, theyll work fine, just output different power based on the speakers
efficiency.
what are you doing buying wintel anyway? at least if you get bose, your
friends will think youre cool!
