I have an XMS888, just got it playing Divx files nicely, except for the fact that on many ocaisions the sound ends up out of sink. Sometimes by as much as 5 secs.
There are a couple of tips around to fix this on my machine, but none seem to work.
Hope someone can give me some advice.

If you press the frame skip button (i.e. the left or right menu buttons) and sound resyncs then its the mux at issue and that is fixable using either nandub or avimux to repair it.
Nandub is possible the best as you can use direct stream copy for both video and audio with the video/audio sync set at each frame interval.
1. Open nandub and select video source
2. under video options select direct stream copy and do the same for audio options
3. Under audio interleaving select by frame and set to 1
4. save avi as new file and hopefully all is well
Also, if your audio in your files are Variable Bit Rate (VBR), this is a common problem.
Best using Constant Bit Rate (CBR) for audio.
