Hi,

I can get an awesome deal on the following projectors:

PB6200
or
PB7200

Looking at the specs, I'm not sure if I can justify spending extra for 1700 Lumens (PB6200) vs 2200 Lumens (PB7200) or am I missing something? Does the PB7200 have an edge over the PB6200 apart from image brightness?

I have been told that a few PB6200 models have been sent back to BenQ due to rainbow effects, but from what I see on the net they have pretty good reviews.

Help!!

Cheers in advance for the replies!

For home-theatre use the lms specs quoted is not really the critical
spec to buy on i.e. ~500 lms is fine for dark room theatre use and many
PJ quote their highest "presentation" mode lumens output whereas for
DVDs most would use the true black/quiet mode running much less.

I got to demo both at my home. The 7200 didn't seem to offer that much
more visible picture quality, and was noticeably noisier!! Got the
6200, it's been fine.

I agree with Andrew. We purchased the BP6200 for our training organisation.
Performs quite well in video mode and running a DGTEC DH2000A HD STB through
the component input produces a very acceptable image for the price of the
PJ. Can't say I've really noticed any "rainbowing" with this model.

Cheers,
Alan
