Hi all,
I'm thinking about taking the plunge and buying a 42" plasma panel and from
what I have been able to determine from reviews/salesmen/friends, two of the
leading models are the Fujitsu and Panasonic. I have a friend with the
Fujitsu (not HD model) and am very impressed but sites such as
http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/ seem to rate the Panasonic model very
highly as well. Also, do people believe it is really worth forking out the
extra $$'s for the HD models? From what I understand, it is not
particularly noticeable from usual viewing distance, and the flyscreen
effect is only visible if viewing from up very close. Anyway, would welcome
advice from others, particularly those who own current Panasonic & Fujitsu
models. Cheers

Also check the new NEC models and the Pioneer (either current or new one in
a month or so). I would rate either of these better than either the Pana or
Fuji.
With regards to resolution, it depends on what you want to watch and how
much money you have to spend. If you have the money, get the HD res set.
If you only watch NTSC DVD's, then an SD set may be all you need.
If you're looking at the above mentioned brands, then you're in the right
money to get HD anyway.
Last thing is to make sure the set has the right type and amount of
connectors you need.
Regards
Silent Bob.
