Dont have one but other things you should consider. Especially with a ?HD panasonic widescreen.

SACD / DVD-A (Although I have never even seen one of these disks!)
Mpeg4 player (ie DIVX compatible)

In which case, try searching for the various threads on:

Xensonic 330 - build quality is a bit flimsy, but cost is approx$160-170
Pioneer 676a - there is a flaw with loading some DVD's - ie very slow, but it seems to be isolated to only a few. 3 year Warranty as well.
Pioneer Australia 676a (http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/home_entertainment/dvdplayersandrecorders/dv676a/)

I have a Denon, some of the models used to be rated as the best picture on a player, but that was some time ago. Also, the older models used to have Scart(RGB) which is not so useful (as opposed to component).

Some of the newer expensive players have scaler chips built in to upscale the picture to higher resolutions - these are more expensive at the moment.

Currently, I lean towards the 676a, despite its' bug. RRP approx 240.
