XMS 777 Region Hack?

anyone know the region hack for this player?

i've tried the 33080 code for other xms players but it doesn't work for this model.

Are you using the remote to key in the code? Is the tray open when you do?

If yes to both of those questions try 77390.

yes with the remote, yes with the tray open, but neither combo's work :(

It's not region free out of the box? - most new units are.
Have you rung Strathfield yet?
Otherwise maybe jok11n will be able to find it..

Nope, not region free out of the box.

I have just rang strathfield (didn't think you could get this type of info from them, but i got it anyway :))

So to make the XMS 777 region free you do the following:

- Open tray
- Press Setup
- Press 1 3 7 9
- A table will come up with revision number and Region Code, set it to 0 and it'll be multi region.
- Close your tray and bob's your uncle, a region free XMS 777!

Fantastic! I just bought one of these today, put in the 1 3 7 9 code and it worked a treat.

This is the default code of a lot of players in the market today, it's common to the particular chipset used by this player.
