I just found the instruction manual (never went back in the box of the sample, oops :) ) It has 2 optical, 1 coaxial, 2 AV, 4 channel analogue and 1 USB input, 1 AV, 1 monitor and 6 channel audio output. Has Dolby Digital, DTS, Pro Logic and Pro LogicII decoding, AM/FM tuner and some sound effect modes (hall, theatre, that kind of stuff). Some other features also, just too tired (lazy) to type them all up.

I would have to double check the options available but remember when I tested this unit that it was pretty good value, has optical and coaxial inputs, video switching, the USB input is for PC use and is recognised as Burr Brown (makers of high quality D/A converters), this site is in Korean but you will get the idea http://www.msnmall.co.kr/tech/ssonet_5_1/ssonet02.asp
If you are interested let me know off list.
Hi Jok11n,
That Ssonet unit from Strathfield looks ok for $399.
How would say it compares to these:
YAMAHA TSS-10 BLK Home Theatre

Quite well actually, you really need to listen though to see if it is what you are after.

And then of course there are the Logitech Z680 THX which everybody keeps raving about, selling for around $450.

On paper the specs of these things blows away anything in the price range.
Quite a few computer shop owners seem to be running them as their primary home theatre system even.
But I've yet to find anywhere with a set that can demo them.

I haven't seen them that cheap, my local Electronics Boutique has them setup, not sure if all of them have them but it might be worth a look.
