AWA DVD W2051K Region code?

Try pressing setup and then arrow across to the last menu option then enter 1379, on some models you need to use the arrow keys to change the region, not the number keys, depends how it has been setup at the factory, you are almost there.

thanks,I just had another go and it works:)I was in the wrong area before when i was trying:rolling: so now am just watching a dvd from the states:)
I had to use the arrow keys to go to the 3rd option across the top of the screen then scrolled down to where it said region country and clicked on that and used the arrow keys to change to 0 region. Very happy about this.
Just hope now it works for ALL my discs of different regions and that I don't have to keep changing the region each time i wanna watch a disc from different countries.
So glad i found this forum will reccomend it to other people. Thanks to everyone who posted thier help on this matter :D

If it's working for a region 1 disc now then it will be fine for your other discs also.

ok good!Would be a hassle to keep changing between different codes each time!
one strange thing i found previously was i could play some UK region 2 discs but a reacent disc set i got from UK wouldn't play.Odd that it would play some region 2 and not all. I know some region 2 discs are dual compatible with region 4 but these weren't and yet they played. One thing i noticed with the region 2 discs that would play is that the sound quality wasn't the best,pic quality was gr8 but sound quality wasn't. Maybe now i've changed the setting this will improve.

Region settings won't have any impact on the sound quality of a disc.
