Hi all,
I see that Sorny (Sony to most!) are going to produce a black screen for projectors. (Thanx to ANDW to for alerting me to it)
I don't have a projector yet, as I'm still in the "what to buy?" stage.
This post is to let everyone know about it and a general discussion, and how you think it'll affect the market overall.
From what I can gather, a lowish output projector will still look good on this type of screen in a well lit room, as only the projected light will reflect back to the viewer. I wonder how projectors with less than 800 ANSI lumens will sell once this screen is released? It also seems that CRT projectors aren't doing as well as they used to, what with improvements in LCD and the new DLP.
Here's a couple of links in regards to the black screen:

Enjoy!
