Anyone else into this game?

I have it on XBox and let me tell you, I think it's giving me high blood pressure. LOL

I'm finally at a "Professional" level; having totally mastered Amateur and Semi Pro. Have done okay with World Class mode (highest difficulty), but am not ready to make the full transition to such as yet.

However, sitting in front of the TV trying to lead Brazil to a clean sweep Cup victory (Custom cup as World Cup is not an option - saved that to capitalise on another game release), blow me down if I don't lose two games in a row! Now, I get pretty agro when I lose one game, but two in a row?

Imagine the silence that ensues at 2.30 in the morning, suddenly disturbed by quite possibly the loudest profanity my neighbours have ever heard and the constant sound of me punching my wall. It's as if I'm actually watching a bloody Soccer final. LOL

Anyway, game is really addictive and kicks butt... oh, and I think I need anger management. :)

When ever that happens just recite "It's just a game, it's just a game, it's just a game" :dD

thanks for the mini review of the game though, it sounds promising I'll check it out when time permits.

The graphics totally kick arse, with the players looking more realistic than ever before. Kicking a goal when hooked up to your home theatre could make you go deaf :p, and the game is GREAT for multiplayer action. :D

Fifa rocks... On 2001, I like to think of myself as a good player. Highest level, and go strong in it with Arsenal.

Fifa 2003 is tempting, but I couldnt sell 2001 as its my original game.

Man, what a totally awesome game last night..

Okay; let me set the scene.. it's around the 2am mark and i'm playing a "Custom Cup" (Can't call it a World Cup as they only include that in World Cup games)....

Both Italy and I (Brazil) are currently undefeated, with the former on top of the ladder due to playing more matches than Brazil. Now comes the time they face off....

So playing for 90 minutes with so many close calls on both teams, it's not funny; and you guessed it... we ended in a draw!

Really a true emotional moment when two top teams face each other and are both technically victors.

Anyway, all that changed with the rematch that followed straight after..

Early on, Christian Vieri kicks a rocket of a goal, and I start thinking "oh sh!t, looks like I'm gonna suffer my first defeat". All of a sudden; just before the half time buzzer, Ronaldinho (of Brazil) kicks the 'wonder goal' from the corner, and all is squits again.

Fast forward through the second half. Plenty of hits and misses; but the score remains deadlocked at 1-1. Enter the 90 minute mark and proceeding injury time. I'm rolling the ball up towards the goal in a last ditch effort. Then I'm disheartened when THREE of their defenders start to surround me. However; I see a gap... right behind me. Timing it right, I throw on the breaks and reverse, and sure enough, they run forward ever so slightly, giving me a chance to slip around the back, a metre or 2 from the goal; look "Buffon" in the eye (the Italian goalie) and snap the magical winning goal with seconds to go!!!!!!!!!!

FRIGGIN BRILLIANCE. Almost had tears in my damn eyes. What a moment! The Dolby 5.1 really adds to the excitement, with the entire crowd going up (it was a Brazil home game) - was almost deafening!

Booya!! hehehe.

Nah, mastered "amateur" & "Semi Pro" ages ago. Am now on Professional, which is 'hard'. Thinking of trying World Class (Very Hard) next week... :dD

World Class is a good level, just take your chances. Your Fifa Comp inspired me to have a 32 team knockout with the worlds best countries. Lost the semi 4-3 in a penalty shoot out to Italy... Was locked up at 1-1. Missed a sealer in E.T, by cracking one of the posts...
But soccer on a console, better than watching real soccer

This game is excellent, you would never go back to 2001 if you get 2003.

What are the controls like for this game?
It looks like I can get it pretty cheap second hand and wouldn't normally look at a game like this, but you guys have got me kind of interested now.:rolling: :)

Pretty good, like any other Fifa game sometimes you seem to kick a ball into the crowd.

The way the players move with the ball is excellent.......

Its worth the purchase...............

Finally had a crack at this game tonight and it looks and sounds pretty impressive.
Mac might not be full of crap after all.
Once I work out what the hell each button does, I might actually kick a goal.:rolling: :dD

Wait till you see some of the 'questionable' umpiring decisions in key moments and you'll be punching the wall in furious anger too. :)
