I'm having a problem with the jpg's I import into movie
maker. They either have black bands on either side of the
picture or on the top and bottom. I've tried resizing
them with photoshop but without success. When used as a
movie in Power Point the black bands look terrible.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
JV

I am pritty sure I know what you are talking about. If I do just changing the
size if the picture wont work. You will have to crop the picture so the width
X height will accomodate the view screen. Some demenions are 320 x 480, 640 x
480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864 and soforth. These are computer screen
demension. If you don't have the picture the right length and width you will
get the black bands you are talking about on the top or the sides. I hope
this is some help. I work a lot with photos and some video and had the same
problem at first. 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 scanned photo's will have to be
cropped to correct demensions.
