Some gripes:

1) Why does everyone in NFL 2k5 have to be either the patriots, the eagles
or the colts? If you play a lesser team, you stand a much less chance of
winning.

2) In my opinion, constant no huddle offense is cheating.

3) It drives me nuts when a team has a pretty unstopable play (McNabb to
Owens), and it is run over and over and over and over.

4) Blitzing on every single down.

5) running up the score and going for 2 pt conversions all the time.

6) running endless slow motion replays of a play

7) chosing your team and then when the challenge is accepted, picking a much
better team than yours.

It seems as though most of those who play the game want to tip the scales to
their advantage any possible way. Forget about good gamemanship or friendly
competition. I'd say that the ration of hotdog to good player is 5:1.

I am about .500 with one of the crapiest teams (the bears).

All good points but you have to accept most of these other players are 14 yr
old brats whose hormones are ragging and know nothing about being gentleman!

Some of these sound legitimate, but . . .

The Colts are my favorite team. I wouldn't choose anyone else. If you don't wanna lose to the Colts, don't play the Colts. But see infra at n.7.

I don't think this is cheating. Certainly a strategic advantage, but not cheating. Ask Peyton.

I think it would drive most defenses nuts. An offensive coordinator would be remiss not to continue to rune what works.

Change up your plays on offense to take advantage of the blitz.

Scoring is offensively good. Better defense stops the 2 pt conversions.

Concur. This is lame.

Concur. This is lame.

These kind of things happen in all sports titles when playing online.
Too many people that don't know the meaning of fair play, playing the
game as intended, etc..

Play any online sports game, football/basketball/etc.. and you will find
the same type stuff going on...people playing with the best teams
because thier actual skill level blows and they will do ANYTHING to win.
There are some out there that thier fave team may actually be that team,
and if you see them play a fair and honest game without playing like a
lamer then I have no problem with it. When they take the best team and
then play lamer ball...well then it is time to shut it off ;)

> 2) In my opinion, constant no huddle offense is cheating.

It is pretty lame, few if any teams run it ALL the time. Late in the
game and down a score or two, fine by me...but every play from start to
finish is lame.

>

The money play, this one doesn't bother me too bad. Generally there are
ways to stop them. A bigger gripe for me would be the people who play
with Falcons/Eagles/etc.. and just run with the QB all the time, drop
back twenty yds and get all the people out of position and then take
off. AI has not gotten good enough yet to truly handle these things.

> 4) Blitzing on every single down.

No problem with that, just have to run some stuff that takes advantage
of the blitz...

>
> 5) running up the score and going for 2 pt conversions all the time.

2 Point conversions are not that hard to stop generally if you call the
right D.

> 6) running endless slow motion replays of a play

That totally blows!!!

>

Cheat to win, suck someone in so they either have to drop or play
overmatched...one of THE lamest tricks in the book!!

There are some out there that do play fair, but they seem hard to find.
I gave up online play for things like football...just far too much BS to
contend with. If I do play those types of games online any more it is
only with/against someone I know.

I always play with my team The Broncos and I think my record is 9-2-0-0.
Before playing anyone I look at their stats and if they have a high rate of
4th down attempts I stay away from them. I almost never play a cheap player
with that system.

Good points I freaking hate it when they choose the Eagles and on 3rd and
long send the receivers deep and then run with McNabb. Makes me want to
throw something.

yeah. add that one to the list. I keep getting my butt kicked because the
bears have an impotent offense. just about every passing play that matters
is dropped by terrell, gage, or wade. I wish the bears still had booker.
things would be much easier.
