fable: snow troll attack side quest disappeared too soon?

Right after killing the bees in the picnic area, there is a bunch of side
quests like "Snow troll attack (hook coast)" that says I'm not renown enough
to take.

So I try to build up my renown by killing creatures (purposely avoided max
in bowerstone). Eventually, when I go back and check, these side quests
disappeared. What gives?

Those quests were removed from the game, along with other things.
