Internet Explorer Favorites

Having update my XP Home with SP2 I am running Internet Explorer 6.0. I tried
Avant Browser, but decided to delete it after some use, and am now using IE
as is.

Everything in normal use seems to work fine BUT

--Selecting the Favorites Menu in the START button goes to the Print Menu!
-- A log file in HTML formt fails to load and open Internet Explorer
correctly.
-- Any web pages in the Links task bar also open the Print menu.

I have been through all the recommendations in KB 870700 - non of the
suggestions make any difference.

Any ideas?

Double-clicking Internet Shortcuts launches the Print dialog rather than opening the webpage:
