The master of silly satire, Naked Gun's Leslie Neilsen is handsome superstar violinist
Ryan Harrison. A man od sophistication and musical artistry who is at the height of his
brilliant career when he is vamped into a sizzling affair with wealthy temptress Lauren Goodhue. Unaware he is the patsy in her murder plot he is turned into a man wrongfully accused,
found guilty and sentenced to death. Harrison must escape to prove his innocence.
....Somewhere in the naked city a one-armed, one-legged, one-eyed man responsible for this murder!

AUDIO/VISUAL

Wrongfully Accused only has a Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack to offer.
The best word that I could use to describe it is acceptable.
The sound is pretty much focused at the front for the entire movie with no action coming from the rears or the sub. Music sounds fine and varies in style due to the comedic nature and parodies on offer throughout the movie.
Speech comes through clear and understandable and appeared to be in sync the whole time.
It is nothing flash but the soundtrack provided does the job.
This movie is presented in an aspect of 1.33:1 full screen which is a little disappointing.
The picture however is mostly clean and free from any real noticeable imperfections.
Overall I would say that the picture is mostly sharp and well detailed but the colours were a tad soft at times. Blacks were acceptable, shadow detail was fine and flesh tones could also be described as acceptable.
The audio/visual transfer of this DVD isn't going to take your breath away but I don't want to give the impression that it is bad as that is not the case.
It could have been a bit better but I guess for a movie of this genre it doesn't have to be a cinematic masterpiece.

EXTRA FEATURES

Trailer -
This 2.29 minute trailer is presented in full screen with Dolby 2.0 audio.
TV Commercials -
There are 3 TV commercials available here with a combined
running time of 1.12 minutes. Each commercial shows different clips from the movie.
Featurette -
This 4.53 minute featurette is presented like an episode of Americas Most Wanted and even has the host from AMW John Walsh presenting it. He starts off describing the character of Ryan Harrison(Nielsen) and his alleged victim as well as the other
characters in the movie and the roles they play. He then goes on to talk about the movie, the cast and crew.
Throughout this segment there are clips from the movie and also interview clips of some of the cast and Pat Croft (Writer, Director, Producer).
I found this to be a very enjoyable featurette to watch with some great information presented in a really fun way. This is a worthy addition to this DVD.
Interviews -
The main screen for this extra feature has Wanted posters for
the 5 main cast members and Writer/Director/Producer Pat Croft. Each poster has the person's name, picture and their character name(or in the case of Pat Croft: Job description).
You can select from 6 interviews of the following cast/crew members:
Leslie Neilsen....1.27 minutes
Michael York.....0 .37 minutes
Kelly Le Brock...1.34 minutes
Melinda McGraw...2.03 minutes
Richard Crenna....1.00 minutes
Pat Croft...............1.52 minutes
These interviews are comprised of clips of what I am guessing where longer more detailed interviews
Where the cast/crew member talks about their role in the movie(in fromt or behind the camera), the other actors/characters, the Director and the film.

OVERALL

Opinions will vary on these kinds of movies especially, due to the silliness they contain.
They are certainly a case of love 'em or hate 'em.
WRONGFULLY ACCUSED is 85 minutes of gags and cheap humour, some of which I am sure you have seen many times before. Having said that I still sat here and laughed at most of them and the various film parodies are always good for a laugh.
As far as the DVD goes it 's a bit disappointing that it is presented in full screen and the extra features are a bit light, however the audio/visual transfer is acceptable and for a movie of this nature it is still easily the better alternative to VHS.
If you like this genre and can handle watching a full screen DVD I would definitely recommend this for a rental if not a purchase. Just kick back, relax and take this movie for what it is.
