i was wondering if anyone can help me out i have purchased the unimax 5.1 speaker system from aldi for 200.00 and it works great for the price it plugs directly into the dvd via the six plugs.what i was wondering is if there is any way to connect to my t.v so i can have surround all the time?the t.v isnt a stereo and only has 2 connections back and front for audio/vis.someone told me i could connect through stereo vid but i dont have one nor do i have an amp.

Nope.
You need to have something to convert
the incoming stereo broadcast into
Dolby Surround.
You need to get a stereo
VCR and an A/V receiver connected
up to your speakers.
Until you do - you will be stuck in the
exciting world of mono.

you have to look and see if the speaker system has another input for video or AUX, and that the connection on the tv is av out. if it does, get a single to double connection cable and run it from the tv to the speakers. It's one of the systems ehere everything plugs into the back of the sub, right??
You still won't get dolby surround, but you can have it though the front speakers.
Mono track dosn't carry the dolby surround signal so you will have to get a stereo vcr or better yet, if you look hard enough, you might still be able to get a stereo vcr with the dolby surround built in.
