Hi all!

I have a basic 5.1 speaker setup connected to my DVD player and TV and I
found myself sitting in traffic the other day wondering why I had a
four-speaker stereo in my car but not making use of the speakers at home for
the same thing? So, does anyone know if there is a way to hook up the rear
speakers so that when the sound source is stereo only (eg TV, some DVDs)
then the rear speakers duplicate the front speakers, but revet to playing
only rear channels when I am using a DD5.1 or DTS DVD?

Many thanks!
Rodney.

You must have a 5.1 amp to drive these speakers, RIGHT???,then tell me more about the amp and i'll get back to you

My Yamaha receiver has several built in sound modes that utilise the rear
speakers, i.e. Hall, Stadium etc.
Maybe yours has different sound modes you can select?

Thanks for the tip. I'll have a look at the manual and give it a try.
