Ps2 v1 w/gap

I need to know if a magic3.1 chip will work on a ps2 v1 with a gap chip. I cannot find a diagram for installation of a magic chip however I did find 1 for an apple chip. Does anybody know where I might could get a pic or will the magic chip not work.:confused: Thanx for the help

as far as i know the magic works on all versions of ps2.
