I'd imagine that a DVD player that does progressive scan, wouldn't just
do it for NTSC, if it can display PAL too - what's the point?
I've got Sony NS575 and it does do progressive, I don't have a TV
capable of progressive scan yet, but I'd be taking the DVD player back
for a refund if it only did progressive scan on NTSC - especially as
the vast majority of DVDs in Oz are PAL...

Believe it or not, many name brand progressive scan dvd players
available say NTSC only for progressive scan. Look on the boxes of
many of them

I know the sony doesn't though.
