What to buy 68cm CRT & Video/ dvd player

Hi all I've bben scouring the net for Australian infomation and feed back re buying a new TV. I just want to buy a 68cm crt with dvd play / Vid play /record box I really haven't been able to find any comparisons and It's really hard to make a good decision on the shop floor I'd like good sound and picture Any feed back? :confused:

I'm no tech expert, but I spent just a bit more and bought a Loewe set four years back, and, even though it was a bit of a stretch financially back then, I've never regretted that decision for a second. Four years on, it still puts out an outstanding picture that usually draws impressed comments from any visitors who see it working. Actually if you check this week's Age Green guide there's a clearance, and some of the stock is super cheap. Buy with confidence, and know you're getting good value and quality for your dollar. One thing - check what connections are on the set to make sure you get component as well as SCART, important if you want to do the progressive scan hi def thing later on. If you just want the basic 500 though you'll still be a happy punter, I am. Three year warranty too.
