PS2 component to Projector problem

Hi.

I've tried connecting my PS2 via the genuine Sony component cables to my
ae500 projector but do not get a picture. Has anyone else had any experience
with this combination, good or bad or any ideas on what may be going wrong?

Check on your projector that it is component type "YUV" rather than "RGB". The component output on PS2 would presumably be YUV type which is not compatible with RGB component. Another thing to try is toggling through the input selector on the projector.

Stumbled onto this pretty much as you were replying. Thanks anyway. It now
works, and what a difference. Brings another lease of life to the PS2...
