I cannot find the name of the song anywhere or what the original song or artists were so I didn't copy the list down as there is not much point.
My contribution for a song is the song that Gary McDonald and Effie did in 1992 that was a paraody of the Barcelona Olympics song (can't find the name of it) sung by a male and female that I cannot remember who. If anyone else knows the correct names you are welcome to add it to the list.
Amigos Para Siempre ( Friends For Life) - Jose Carreras, Sarah Brightman

I would like to comment on ajh's post. There are plenty of other parodies around, if the person who started this topic, Davdster, would like to comment, are repeat artists allowed?
I don't mind but if you can think of parodies by others it'd be prefered.

For the corny part of the topic this won out over a sly line from a Zappa song.

Songs with long pauses:
1. Jailbreak - AC/DC ("And he made it out.......with a bullet in his back!")
OT: Is the same Rick Dees that does the Americian Top Forty on radio? I used to love this song..... Disco, Disco Duck. As kids we ran around flapping our arms pretending to be ducks. It is the same Rick Dees. Here is some trivia for you, he was recently replaced as host by the host of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest. In Australia the long-time host of Take 40, probably Australia’s equivalent of the American Top 40, Barry Bissell has recently quit Take 40 and he was replaced by Andrew G, who just happens to be one of the co-hosts of Australian Idol. Funny how sometimes things run parallel in the world isn’t it?
Now, back on-topic
Songs with long pauses1. Jailbreak - AC/DC ("And he made it out.......with a bullet in his back!")
2. Starlight – Superman Lovers (there is a pause about ¾ the way through the song, before the chorus is repeated and fades out to the end)
