You didn't, but it would have been fair to *assume* that you were talking
about a civilian sedan.

I'm fucked if I know why you think I'm short. I'm 5'8" tall, which is
*average*. It's circus freaks like you who have the problem :)

A few points:
- I doubt the power steering pump in a XR8 has anything to do with the one
fitted to the V8 Supercars (nothing else is common, so why should the power
steering pump be?).
- Holden have long had a problem with power steering problems in Commodores.
Might have been rectified on the newest model with a new pump.
- If one of the old legend drivers suffered a power steering pump failure, I
reckon they would have just got on with it anyway!

Aha! I'm on dial up tonight, and I can see you :)

You try driving a ram type steering system with a dead pump, and then get
back to us about who the sook is :)

Bet you wish you still had it, as they're *exceptionally* rare. So rare, in
fact, that almost fuck none of them were ever built due to the war
production :)

1946 was the first full year for civilian US models once production
facilities got back to normal.

Because:

A) It belonged to Ford. It's there problem to fix it and transport it home.
B) The whole purpose of driving ti was to review it. There's not much
point reviewing a car with faulty power steering.
C) Engine bay covered in power steering fluid. Fire hazard....
D) Unroadworthy, no insurance cover.

What would be the point?

The journos aren't about to keep driving it after a fault like that.
For isn't about to bother to transport it to a different bit of the Ford
empire when they've got the car in a dealer's workshop already.
