which SD/HD 34/38cm widescreen lcd?

My warents want to get a small 34/38cm LCD for there bedroom/loungeroom.
Just wondering what models/brands are worth looking at? Standard Definition
is fine to start with but will also consider High Definition if the price is
reasonable, but at the moment we only have SD set top box and DVD player
they will plan to use with it.

All suggestions appreciated.

My suggestion is that they should try to go for 50cm if possible. A 38cm
widescreen is really tiny height wise (shorter than a 4:3 38cm), so you'll
barely be able to see what's on the screen from more than about 2 metres away.
