The lesson here is ...Don't use the online quoting system!
I wanted to change insurers of one of my Magnas after the current coy
wanted to hike the premium thru the roof for an 18yo 1st year driver
of a modified vehicle.
I went thru the online quote system and was refused insurance by all
but the specialist companies, not because of the driver, but because
the vehicle has been lowered....legally I might add.
Finally in exasperation I started phoning companies and found that a
legally lowered vehicle caused no problems when this was explained,
and the discussion soon got down to dollars.
NRMA were by far the cheapest, and covered the vehicle to an agreed
value well above market value and listed all the modifications and
accessories so there can be no arguments about undisclosed mods.
Give em a try....on the phone!
