Ok, but in return for my information I request that you report back
here with a short review of this player once you've had a play with it
:-)

Will do- I paid full retail at HN $249 only 1 left and none left at JB, so ,
who cares about a few dollars.
I see it also plays Windows Media.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm very pleased with my purchase. I bought
it for one reason and one reason only- multichannel audio in the form of
SACD and DVD-A. Let me tell you, I wish I had done it earlier. I bought
Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell on SACD when I purchased the player. I wasn't
really expecting too much from this because after all it was recorded in
1977, but I love the Meat and so it was a no brainer. This has absolutely
blown my mind this SACD disk, it is the BEST audio recording I have ever
heard, and I am comparing it to the best I have eg. Eagles DTS DVD. Close
your eyes and go straight to the bonus live track at he end which happens to
be Bat out of Hell. Close your eyes, do not look at the TV set because you
will focus your brain in the wrong direction. Get inot relax mode and hit
play- this track is f******* amazing, I just can't describe it, it's the
best. I am going to be buying a few more SACD or DVD-A disks I think now.
I know you are all probably mor einterested in DiVx playback and other crap,
sorry, I'm not interested, get this player for SACD and DVD-A.
Obviously you need to have a good HT setup to experience these formats. It
might not be worth it with an el-cheapo HT system.
Back to the Meat!

Whats a good online store for SACD titles? Something you don't need to sift

Will check it out. Need to get a new amp now tho, for the SACD/DVDA
support. Should probably get one that does HDCD I guess;-)

Consider offering me a price for my Yamaha RVX3000 as I am looking to
upgrade.
Here's the product details.
http://www.yamaha.com/cgi-win/webcgi.exe/DsplyModel/?gAVR00010RX-V3000
Shame about the Pink Floyd mix if it is bad, I was going to get it. i like
Elton John though I will get that if Ican. While I was in JB I saw a double
disk SACD of Bruce Springsteen & EStreet Band live for $42, almost got it.
Anyone heard this one?

I can also confirm that DSOTM is an awesome disk - and is generally referred to as THE reference rock music SACD. Maybe the use of surround is too subtle for some, personally I think it is perfectly produced.

Nice unit, no HDCD support tho. I love the Yami gear ;-), wife is
getting annoyed at the amount of gear coming home of late.

I have a few Mark Knopfler disk's, I would like to hear properly. I
haven't found many amp's that support it tho. Harmon Kardon and Marantz
make a few in the close to $2000 department. Will have to mortgage the
house. Incedently Microsoft now own the HDCD patent :-(.
