Technology has changed dramatically over the years :)

This from someone who thinks all of the BA's problems thus far are just
first model "teething issues", and should be expected.

Technology my fucking arse. All it does is make cars *less* reliable, and
keep the replacement parts business as the most profitable arm of the
manufacturing base.

Tell me Nodd, do you think a WRX would be more reliable than a turbo
EXA from the 80's? or maybe a WRX more reliable than a XU1?

If technology didn't improve reliability/efficiency etc, we would all
be driving Model T's.

No.

Reliability and efficiency are two distinctly different subjects that do
*not* automatically go hand in hand.

If you were to ask me has "technology" made cars more efficient, then I'd
say "without a doubt". However, if you were to ask has it made them more
*reliable*, my reply would genuinely be "no, I don't believe it's done much
in that regard other than increase maintenance costs and repair bills.".

A 1980 Mazda 323 would be more reliable than most current model cars.
